Saetu Foundation was founded in 2017 by like minded school friends who believe they can improve the quality of life of the impoverished by expanding reach to their women and kids. We aim to reduce the rate of school drop outs and help in educating our future generation build a strong foundation for society.
A management professional and an alumnus of IIT Bombay School of Management (SJMSOM), Nitin specializes in the Supply Chain functions of temperature controlled warehousing and logistics of FMCG and agriculture sector. He has been associated with various charitable & welfare organizations like Giants Group, Rotary Club in the past and has actively participated in social causes initiative programs on education, healthcare and livelihood in villages across Maharashtra state. Apart from professional and social life, Nitin enjoys a varied cultural life and he is an avid learner of music.
A visit to an orphanage managed by her aunt had a huge impact on Rajashree that led to a resolve to make a difference by working for under privileged kids and formed the basis for creation of Saetu Foundation. A post graduate in computer science from University of Poona and a software engineer by profession, Rajashree worked in many Multinational companies (PTC, Adobe Systems, BMC Software to name a few) at varied managerial positions before deciding on working full time for a charitable cause. Rajashree is deeply passionate about building a better future for the children belonging to economically weaker sections of society. Apart from education, Rajashree is also hugely committed to Nature and wildlife conservation and has been actively volunteering for these projects.
An experienced Marketing Professional working in the pharmaceutical industry for more than 32 years, Swati takes inspiration from her mother to give generously back to the society. Swati is currently working at “Hindustan Antibiotics Ltd.” and has been volunteering as a teacher, teaching Science subjects to children in the slum areas of Kothrud, Pune.
Vinay, a science graduate from University of Bombay is currently leading the Purchase and store development divisions at “Standard Greases & Specialities Pvt. Ltd.” Hugely inspired by his mother, his motto in life is to “Help Humanity”. He has been actively involved in social work right from his college days. Volunteering being his core mantra, He has carried out several Blood Donation Camps, Free Eye Check Up camps and Free Medical Camps. An avid nature lover, his other passions include Trekking, Music and singing old Hindi songs.
Satya is a Mathematics graduate from University of Mumbai and EPGDM in International Business with over 3 decades of rich experience in IT and Business. Satya, a serial entrepreneur, is one of the founders of Rapid GPRS an IT services company. With an experience of over 32 years of implementing CRM and ERP solutions for companies like ACC Ltd. and Mastek Ltd., he uses his vast knowledge in IT to oversee the systems requirements at Saetu Foundation. His other interests include Astrology, Billiards, Sanskrit and Spirituality.
A logistics professional for over 33 years with a Master’s degree each in Commerce and Foreign Trade, Swamy had keen interest in public charities and social welfare activities since the age of 15 and has been involved in many social welfare activities for the past 30 years. He is actively involved with an organization in Chennai in the service of physically challenged persons. He is associated with Rangaramanuja Veekayes Productivity and Cultural Council which is working for development of specially abled persons through fine arts. Apart from being associated with the fine arts societies he also has intrest in the field of drama, oratory, cricket and spiritual activities.
Anand, a graduate in Arts from University of Bombay, served our nation with a 20-year service in Indian Air Force. During his tenure of duty in remote areas he closely saw the plight and lack of education of poverty stricken people. His love for the country did not let him be satisfied with his job at Times of India and gave birth to the idea of servicing the nation by helping to shape a better India through educating the underprivileged. Anand is also keenly interested in sports and music.
